Barney Wars Episode I: The Purple Menace is the fourth episode of the Barney Wars series (parodying Star Wars) but is listed as Episode I. In this episode, Barney's racist ways get the better of him and he goes on a mission to assassinate President Obama and his family.

Barney is watching Barack Obama win the election and a second term as President of the United States against Mitt Romney on TV. The Purple Menace hates Obama in every way because he's black and begins to write down his plans to murder the President.

The next day, at the White House, Obama and his family are returning from a shopping spree to celebrate Obama's re-election. Barney is hiding under Obama's desk with a kitchen knife. The Obamas enter the Oval Office, and Barney jumps up at them, pulling an evil face. He slashes Obama's neck, killing him. He attempts to maul the rest of the Obamas. However, it turns out that they are robot clones (seeing that Obama's insides are nothing but wires and machinery), and that the real Obamas are hiding from the Purple Perpetrator on the roof of the White House.

Obama manages to call 911 and the cops arrive and are about to arrest Barney when he pulls out a machine gun and kills or injures most of them. This leads to worldwide media coverage, and the presence of the SWAT. Barney storms inside the White House to find the Obamas as the SWAT aim their guns at him. They manage to shoot down the Purple Menace, much to everyone's delight.

Barney is driven to hospital, where he is treated, only to find that he will be given a 10-year prison sentence when he is discharged from the hospital. Barney proceeds to point a gun at his head.

  • Had Barney managed to kill Obama, he would have been the fifth president to be assassinated and the ninth to die in office. The other eight presidents to die in office were William Henry Harrison, Zachary Taylor, Abraham Lincoln, James Garfield, William McKinley, Warren Harding, Franklin Roosevelt, and John F. Kennedy.
